How early can I come in for an ultrasound?
We offer elective ultrasound experiences beginning at 6 weeks although we do not do audible heart rate until 7-8 weeks.

Are your ultrasounds medical or diagnostic?
Sweet Baby Imaging provides elective, non-diagnostic ultrasound experiences. Our services are intended for bonding, keepsake images, and capturing special moments during pregnancy and are not a substitute for care from your OB or other medical provider. We also do not do any measurements and/or weights of babies.

When can I find out my baby's gender?
Our Clinical Gender Determination service is available beginning at 6 weeks. We also offer gender determination by ultrasound beginning at 14 weeks.

How far along should I be for a 3D/4D ultrasound?
For the best facial features and overall experience, we generally recommend 26–32 weeks. Every pregnancy is different, and baby's position can affect what we are able to capture. Hydration is key for any appointment with us. We do recommend between 25-27 for twins!

Do I need to drink water before my appointment?
For appointments before 12 weeks, we recommend arriving with a full bladder. For 3D/4D appointments, staying well hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment can help with image quality drastically. We recommend approximately 80–100 ounces of water per day for 5–7 days before your visit. Liquid IVs or equivalents can also be added.

Can I bring my family and children?
Absolutely! We love having family share in these special moments. Because we have specialized equipment in the ultrasound room, children must remain with and be supervised by an accompanying adult at all times, both in the ultrasound room and lobby. We do have a projector and projector screen so please make sure children are not looking into or playing with the projector.

Can I bring food or drinks into the ultrasound room?
To help keep our equipment and studio clean, food and drinks are not permitted in the ultrasound room. Most snacks and drinks consumed to get baby to move work best 10-15 minutes before your appointment time.

How many people can come to my appointment?
We welcome loved ones to share your experience. You are welcome to bring as many as you would like! We have comfortable seating for 9-10 but have extra seating available if needed! We love our big groups!

What happens if my baby won't cooperate?
Babies definitely have their own schedules! If we aren't able to capture images because of baby's position, we offer one complimentary redo under our redo policy.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
We understand that plans can change. We kindly ask for at least a 24 hour notice to reschedule or to cancel. We do have a $25 cancellation fee for appointments moved or cancelled less than 24 hours in advance. That charge may be drafted from your card on file with us or be required to pay to book again. If you do have an emergency or any other situation involving your sweet baby, please reach out to us.

Do I have to pay when I book?
A deposit is required to reserve your appointment. Any remaining balance is due at the time of your appointment unless otherwise stated. Our comfort ultrasounds do require full payment at booking.

Do you offer gift cards?
Yes! Sweet Baby Imaging gift cards are available and can be used toward eligible services and products.

Do you offer keepsake products?
Yes! We offer a variety of pregnancy and baby keepsakes, including heartbeat bears, heartbeat jewelry, baby clothing, pregnancy announcements, gift cards, and more. Most of these items are available to purchase even after baby is born or for other family members.

Can I get digital copies of my ultrasound pictures?
Yes! Digital images are included with all of our packages. You will receive the ultrasound video and all images digitally in your email. The email comes between 6 PM-8 PM central time.

What is an 8K enhancement?
Our 8K enhancement creates a highly detailed artistic visualization from your ultrasound image. It is a photo enhancement and not an actual ultrasound image or diagnostic medical image.

Where are you located?
We are located at 3 N Jefferson Avenue in Cookeville, TN. Our entrance faces the side entrance to Market on the Square, and there is public parking available behind the building. Should you need handicap access, please let us know before hand and we can accommodate you at the handicap entrance.

How early should I arrive?
Please plan to arrive no more than 10 minutes before your appointment so we can keep appointments running smoothly.

What if I'm running late?
Please contact us as soon as possible if you are running late. Depending on the schedule, arriving late may shorten your appointment or require rescheduling.
